My Pizzeria game on Alexa is continuing to evolve. Some new features rolled out in July are:
The option to "buy insurance"
Isn't it annoying when the power goes off or burglars break in and steal your profits? Well now you can insulate your pizzeria against those events by buying insurance that will pay out when certain bad events occur (excluding staff issues). Insurance policies don't last indefinitely so you'll need to remember to renew them periodically.
Insurance commands you can try:
- buy insurance
- check insurance
'Chef happiness'
Like many real-life employees, your pizzeria chef may show signs of discontentment over time. Unhappy chefs are more likely to be late for work, which will result in lost profits for your business. As your chef's happiness falls they may start demanding more pay.
Happy chefs perform better. You can increase your chef's happiness by promoting their favourite pizza, or by paying them more.
You don't have to wait for your chef to ask for a pay rise. At any time during the game you can just say the following command to be presented with a wage offer that you can accept or decline:
- "offer more pay"
